Description

Did this about a year ago and just now getting this up here. Most if not all these images are from sxc.hu and over the months I have misplaced where the original stock images came from. If anyone has any clue on the model or the sands or 32 different clouds are, let me know!!

I like the composition, the idea and the contrast within the content - the dramatic clouds, signaling a storm coming, and the opposing serenity of a girl walking in the sand.

The sand and clouds look just fine, but I feel there are two things "wrong" with this picture: The lighting of the girl is clearly "fake" compared with the rest of the picture. She is (way) too well lit. The natural light comes from the opposite side of the girl, so no camera would be able to show so much light on the person walking there (from the angle of the viewer) no matter how big the dynamic range was. Now it really looks like a scene with a girl-sticker smacked on top. Maybe try to find a girl that is lit from the opposite side? If you made it look more realistic this artwork would end up in my favourites <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>

I also think her shadow could have decreased opacity, but that is only a minor detail.
